TOSA 2011
During the summer of 2011, I participated in a program through Weyerhaeuser called TOSA (Teachers on Summer Assignment ). I spent six weeks working with a few other teachers at Cool Springs Environmental Education Center, helping with research on local amphibians and reptiles, working with camps and school groups, and learning about forestry and ecology. I fought off snapping turtle attacks, chased snakes, got stuck knee deep in a swamp, and tried to outsmart the chiggers. Needless to say, it was a lot of fun.
